With fourteen years photographing weddings full-time, I bring an incomparable depth of valuable experience to the work and continue to approach each wedding with my heart first and fresh eyes.

The PHILOSOPHY
My clients are my priority. I approach each wedding with a deep respect for what you’ve created and who you are, documenting your celebration with care, discretion, and intention—while allowing the weekend to feel easy, natural, and genuinely enjoyable. I’m there to witness and gently shape the day as it unfolds, never to fit your story into a predetermined idea of what it should be.
I photograph using both film and digital, choosing the right tool for each moment. Film holds a particular significance in my work - it captures light in a way that closely mirrors how we see and experience it, with a depth and subtlety that is both timeless and true. It’s an extraordinary medium, and one I’ve spent years refining. Carrying that tradition forward is an important part of my practice.
My style captures the full range of the day - joy, nuance, energy, and quiet in-between moments. It’s comprehensive, thoughtful, and artful. From candid images to family photographs to the atmosphere of the celebration, my clients trust that everything is being observed and held with care. My team and I advocate for what matters most to you, while bringing a steady sense of experience and perspective. Each wedding is approached individually, with attention to what makes it distinct.

about Sarah
I approach life heart first and I'm deeply passionate about making amazing images that you can feel. I have had the honor of photographing over four hundred wedding celebrations in New England and all over the country, from coast to coast, with wonderful clients whom I'm deeply grateful for.
My story began as a child, with a family heirloom 35mm film camera. Early on I was artistically inclined, and after developing my first roll of film in the darkroom, I was hooked.
Fast-forward two decades, through one degree in Fine-Art Photography & Photojournalism, a career as a photojournalist and editorial photographer, and lots of travel, adventure, education and growth, I found myself in the midst of a beautiful career documenting celebrations and love.
Photography has allowed me to be present in the lives of unique, wonderful people and share in their joyful moments. It has given me the wonderful gift of exploring new places, and of documenting a part of life that is so meaningful to me: love, culture and family. I’m deeply invested in making beautiful, timeless images, and in photography being a fun and memorable part of life. Based in Portland, Maine, but traveling often with my camera.
